Back in 2003, Jen and I decided that we wanted to open a business, but first, we had to find the right business for us. It needed to not only be something that we were passionate about, but also something that our future customers would be passionate about. It was almost 3 years before we found the right fit and decided to open Vino & Friends, a wine store that offered tastings and a wine club.
In August of 2006, we opened the doors of a 1,500 square foot location with 150 wines in stock. Just a few short months later, in October of 2006, we had the first wine club release to our 25 members. Over the next four years in that location, our wine club grew to 425 members and we began to notice that the people coming in for their tasting really wanted food. During those years we were able to have food delivered to the store, but we quickly realized that we needed to open a kitchen.
In February of 2011, we made the decision to expand to a bigger, 4,000 square foot location that included a bistro complete with an appetizer menu. Somehow between February and when we opened in August the menu grew from just appetizers to include heartier offerings like pasta, sandwiches and our famous Bruschetta.
In January of 2017 we have expanded again offering an expanded menu, new cocktails and a brand new location for our guests to enjoy. As of today we offer over 40 wines by the glass and enjoy putting on wine dinners for 50 to 60 people monthly. Our wine club now has over 725 members and we have over 300 wines in stock. It has been a journey of hard work and long hours, and of course, there are days that we just want to throw our hands in the air. But we keep coming back because of our passion for wine, the experience that it creates and all of the friends we have made along the way.We hope to see you soon! Sincerely, Chuck
